We regularly use acupuncture for the relief of muscle spasms. This is usually combined with other techniques such as exercise and manual therapy to maintain the optimum benefit.
Although contraindications are extremely rare, prior to treatment we will perform a detailed assessment to check that acupuncture is safe and appropriate for every patient.
We are fully registered members of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and are trained to use the strictest hygiene. All needles come in sealed sterilized packages and are used once only and then disposed of.
